When an all-round handyman came to us to see how we could grow his business in the areas most profitable for him.
Our client covered Cardiff and the surrounding area and provided a general house and garden maintenance service but was paying a substantial amount each month to get enquiries from a number of well known 'Trade websites' that sold leads to them as well as several other companies. Whilst he was able to keep his business ticking over and had a number of regular repeat customers for some of his outdoor services over a number of years he wanted to break the cycle and take a next step in growing his business using his own team and network of other contractor who he knew and trusted.
We discussed a number of areas we could focus on rather than taking a machine gun approach to the services he offered that to consider one or possibly several service specific areas to really focus on.
As a result the numbers lead to bathroom fitting in Cardiff being one of the good options to look at. We spent time understanding what the key sub services were that he offered within bathroom installation and it helped us develop content for the site.
As well as the installation of general sanitaryware he was able to offer a complete service which also included bathroom design along with the fitting of bathroom units, bathroom lighting as well as all the plumbing.
Utilising his network he was also able to offer a full wet room installation and include underfloor heating if requiredm, both electric and wet.
With bathroom installation being a very visual trade it was important to spend time with the client briefing them on capturing good quality photos and videos to hep showcase the quality of his work. By getting better understanding of all the trades that were covered it became easy to showcase a profitable trade and include additional value added services to demonstrate the expertise in the whole areas by being able to talk about all ancillary services too.
